Orange Slices at Paseo

The opening at Dean Lively was last night and I am so appreciative of all the friends who stopped by to view the show. Elaine and Scott did a wonderful job with the opening; the art was well lit and displayed very professionally, the food was excellent and there was even music by a gentleman who said he had not played for an audience in 25 years! He played a mean jazz guitar.
The painting today is one of my still life series that is on display at the Paseo Art Association Gallery at 3022 Paseo, OKC. This is a 12x12 oil on wrapped canvas. I sold several of my still life paintngs last night so I will be doing some more of these small canvases. I love working with those colorful subjects.

Oar at Sunset

I finally got back to painting this week. This is another of my small crew paintings, again taken from a photo of my trip on the launch. This is a 5X7 on board.

Zinnia

Another quick floral, this one from a set-up with a flower from my garden. It is on an 8 X10 canvas board that I primed with black gesso.
I am doing a lot of work with the acrylic gel medium, but those are a several day process. I will hopefully have something to post with those next week.
I found out that two of my photographs were accepted into the 2008 Photo Fest on Paseo. I was hoping to have a mixed media to submit into that, but I will next time!
